First Communion Instruction
As part of the Wednesday Evening Program during Lent, a Communion Instruction clas s is provided for children who are in the first grade or older. The class meets six times, and culminates in a special recognition on the Sunday after Easter. For some children, this class is completed prior to their taking Communion for the first time on the Sunday after Easter. For other children, who are already taking Communion, this class helps build their understanding of the Eucharist.
